When I was a kid I used to build spinnerbait lures to make a little spending money.
One day I decided to attach some of the rubber skirts to my bow string to dampen the sound. It worked great. 10 years later they were selling the same thing in the stores as STRING SILENCERS. Gotta take the risk and act on your ideas or you' ll
still be a poor smuck like me.[:' (]

Actually yes. I' m working on a tracking system that is contained within the arrow. It deploys when the arrow strikes the target. It does not limit you to 20 yard shots like the string trackers either. You can shoot it as far as you want to. It doesn' t affect arrow flight, other than making the arrow a little heavier and you can target shoot with it all you want to. Doesn' t affect the accuracy or tunability or the arrows either. I hope to put the finishing touches on it this season by testing on a few more deer. I' ve actually killed several deer while using it already.
It definitely helps to keep the wound open and put more blood on the ground and it even leaves a trail of chalk along with the blood to help you find the downed animal.
Oh yeah. As a plus, you can also use it to match weight your arrows to the exact weight you want for hunting or target shooting. Yes, you could use it to make a perfectly matched set of target arrows. Carbon or aluminum.
I came up with it as a result of losing a couple of deer.
