What is the age limit for the young hunter of the year? 18?

I actually voted for the last idea, with the 5 catagories. I figure that the 2 " other" votes should go in that catagory as well, am I correct Bow and Ausie?

Count me in buddy....I' ve been hopeless in the bow area for quite some time now, but the contest is great anyways...maybe this year I' ll get lucky. I' ll get ya a check in the mail soon...

I wouldn' t care about receiving a trophy in any catagory but I especially would not display one that was a " runner up" . Don' t get me wrong I am not trying to rain on anyone' s parade, I love the friendly competition.

I do like the young hunter of the year award.

The animal that is hunted most across the country of course would be the whitetail so I would definitely have a big buck catagory. ( I would let you guys argue over the details. For example whitetail vs. mule deer vs. blacktail vs coues deer).

There are also a number of members here that hunt larger species, such as moose, elk, caribou, etc. I would be in favor of them getting a catagory as well.

Viewer' s choice is a tough catagory. It is almost like a photo contest. Although out of conviction I might not vote a photo of Tiffany Profant and her smiling bucks for the top spot, I might spend more time looking at it.

For the Alaskan people or others who hunt Ursis horribilis. You could call it the ' Award of Courage' (or insanity, take your choice ). This would be given to the person with the biggest bear harvested with a bow.

Bottom line is, it is easy for those of us who don' t have to do any of the work to be critical. I hope my post is not viewed as being that way.

I have been a member of the forum for about 2-3 years, and I don' t know very much about the cup. I do know there is a website, and I was wondering if it is up and running.

I totally agree with Bowfanatic with his choices.

I also think like antler eater said that a lot of people here hunt Big game much bigger than whitetails like moose elk bear etc. So maybe a big game one too. But only if there are enough people who enter hunt these bigger game. If only a few join up and hunt big game than the viewers choice will have to be enough.

How about a whitetail viewers choice and a big game viewers choice? Or small game/big game, or...

I see where you are coming from on a viewers choice runner up, last year we had that catagory, but I didn' t make a trophy that said runner up, just viewers choice winner. We could have two different types of viewers choice like best picture, best story, etc. etc.

Come on with the ideas!
