Like most everyone else here, I far prefer bowhunting to hunting with a rifle. However, bowhunting is a relative newcomer to me and my success with a gun has been much greater. 13 deer (and 1 antelope) via bow, about 60 deer (plus antelope, moose, and elk) via rifle. Some are here:

Don't know the exact numbers, but I would guess I've killed at least twice as many with a bow due to several reasons.

I live in MO. Where I hunt with a firearm, I can only take one deer. I hunt in several counties with a bow so I can take an unlimited amount dependant upon the county. I also bowhunt IL and I typically do not hunt the firearm season in IL.

I gun hunted from 1979-2003 and probably took around 10 with my shotgun. I started bowhunting in 1996 and I have probably taken out around 60 with my bow.
