I tried it last year in the rain and it lit everything up. What a waste.

Just use un-dilluted pyroxide. Works awesome, just dont overspray.

Yup, used it too, and it lit up everything it touched. Complete gimmick and waste of money. I plan on trying peroxide next, but I hope I don' t have to.

My buddies and I are big coleman lantern fans. One trick that works great. Take a piece of the thick tin foil and wrap it around the back half of the globe ( the side that is facing you). Be sure that the shiny side of the foil is facing in towards the mantles of the lantern. This serves 2 purposes. One- it keeps the glow of the lantern from being right in your eyes, so you can really see alot better in front of you and it keeps the heat off of your face some. And secondly, the foil reflects the light out front more and makes the blood shine even more. We always did this while we were catfishing. We hung one lantern behind us and then one on the ground down by our poles with the foil wrapped around it. I was blood trailing one time and thought about how good it would work for trailing. The next deer we trailed we tried it and man it made a big difference.
Another tip if you are going to use peroxide. Add a little yellow food coloring to it. It will make the peroxide foam a bright yellow when it contacts blood, but not on anything else. It workd pretty good.

Proff....good tips! I never liked using a Coleman lantern because of the spreading out of the light.....too dumb I guess to think of your tip.

Never tried Peroxide..never needed it, but if I ever do using the yellow dye sounds like a winner.
