Default storing gear for off season.

Hey I got a question for you guys. We are moving a trailer for some folks and they had a mini barn they did not want to move and said if I wanted it I could have it. Since the gooseneck trailer and truck will be there I figured why not just take it.

I am thinking it will make good storage for my hunting stuff and maybe my scuba gear.

If I seal it up with spray foam (great stuff) and insulate it my bow, gear, gun ammo and such will be fine in there for the off season right?

Unless you know it will be moister free, I wouldn't put that stuff in there. Gun and bow stuff needs to be in a temp controlled room so it dont get damp..

I would not put my guns in there. I was thinking a good sealing and then a dehumidifier. My concern even with that is condensation from temp change causing a issue.
I guess for my target, lead sled, all the other junk would do good, should clear my closet out enough for it to me a closet and not a gun room. With the safe and bow in there it uses min space so not a issue.

I wouldn't put ammo out there. Your gear, yes. I don't know where your at, but a dehumidifier will freeze up in the winter, then you will have a dampness. That other stuff you said you would put out there would be fine. Maybe even your hunting clothes in a vacuum sealed bag, should be fine...

I wouldn't seal the thing up tight with foam and stuff. Better just to set it up off of the ground and let air move through it, as long as the roof dont leak. I converted an old chicken coop into my storage shed for hunting stuff, works great. Of corase I beefed up the door and window so it takes a tank to get into it, but everything is dry and it smells like deer in there.

The only hunting stuff that goes in my storage shed are tree stands, climbing sticks, deer cart and clothing tubs. Everything is hung or up on shelves. I also cut holes front and back just below the roof line and covered them with screen & louvered vents for circulation.
