How to grip your bow

Most good bow hunters I know just let the bow sort of sit in their hand and follow through with the shot so that the bow falls slightly forward at release. I used to do the same thing till I started seriously deer hunting. I had a problem taking the extra time to slide my hand securly into the sling and it didn't work out good at all for me. So I got used to just grabbing it like a pistol and shooting it the same way. It hasn't really affected me, but I would think whatever is the most comfortable to you.
