Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Okay since this board is a little slow this time a year and WV' s archery opener is still 3 months away so I can' t see any big bucks in the timber yet, everyone post your biggest buck picture that you have gotten on a Game Cam and tell us a little bit about the photo and the deer.
Below is a picture that I got 2 years ago in one of the (4) Bow hunting only counties in West Virginia. The buck looks like he is coming to the feeder but acutally he isn' t. 10 mintues before that picture was taken 4 does came to the feeder to feed. A couple minutes later a 140" class 8 pointer came by following the does. Then this Monster 18 point non-typical came through following the 4 does. This picture was taken in the middle of November and the buck was never seen before this picture. Anyone care to guess what the 18 pointer will score??? ![]() |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
You dont know how much Id like to, but all of my pictures are 35mm and I dont have a scanner even if I did I dont have a clue how to attach a picture to a post:(. But two years ago the first week of Nov I found a scrape about as big as a bathtub, hung my camera over it and poured a bottle of Tinks 69 and left it. I came back the next morning after hunting and got my camera, I had 8 different bucks visit that scrape in one night!! Everything from a forkie to a few basket 8s and two huge bucks one of which would go about 140 or so, very wide and heavy but only average tine length. The other was a huge 10 about 18 inches inside and LOTS of mass and a complete sapling about 4 feet long tangled in his left antler, saw him the next day but didnt close the deal. Last year I got pictures of the same 10 and he had gained mass, browtine length and about a 6 inch droptine of of his right mainbeam, Id say he would gross in the 160s in those pictures. Bad thing is that he was in the same spot at the same time three days in a row, in daylight. I was there on the fourth day but he must have been on to me he wasnt seen again the rest of the year. I saw him three weeks ago but havent got another picture yet:(

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
This guy is a 13 Pointer that I nicknamed Forky. Not the best picture, but he had to be pushing 150' s then and this picture was from the 2001 Season. Didn' t see him but once or twice last year. I believe he is still around!!

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
These pics are from the last couple years. Going
out to check our cameras, for the first time this year, in the next couple of days....we' ve put them up on some new land and not sure what to expect. When I get the film developed, I' ll post some pics. Nice pics IBM....;)[:-]. Here' s a few we' ve taken ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My brother and I later took the first two during bow season....never saw the nice 10 pt. in the fall...hopefully he made it through the winter, he' d be a beauty this year. |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
One thing to add...I entered the top pic in
the " Camtrakker Photo Contest" and finished 8th, along with 99 other photos[:' (]...I won a grunt call [&:]. For some reason we thought it might place higher... They only allowed one photo or I would have sent in the pic of the " Club Buck" /10 pointer in the bean field, which is probably a better overall photo. We just thought it was unique to get a pic of a mature buck moving in broad daylight as he was checking a scrapeline. |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Two Beards, correct me if I am wrong....but didn' t you tag the deer in the top picture?
|
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Here is one from last year and I know a guy that found the left side shed, So he is still out there kickin.

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
One of the SIUC Biologists that are tracking those collared deer in this area had it and showed it to me. Then I showed him the picture and gave him a copy. I thought his jaw dropped off after he saw the pic. And it was the far side in the picture, not the massive side. He said that he found it across the valley off that Drury road, or Phillips south of our house like a mile closer to us then the Qualls MX area.

|
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Hank,
I thought That Pic might get a few folks attention, I about Passed out when I saw the photo. I have never seen a more impressive deer. I have never seen that deer on Hoof, There are some stories around about guys who think they saw him thru the fog and such but you know how that is. My Opinion? That Deer is Unkillable. I have located and Killed many deer and I dont take that statement Lightly, But unfortunately it seems to be fact. |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Unkillable.....PHOOEY!
You just gotta think like a game camera...lol..:D |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
I have a picture that i would like to post , but cannot seem to figure out how . Any help? Also some dandy bucks
|
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
2droptine- I would have to disagree with you on that one. I don' t think that any deer on this earth is unkillable. Granted that window of opportunity may be small and even smaller with archery gear but no deer is simply unkillable. All deer move some during daylight hours for one reason or other. You just have to figure out a way or just get lucky to be in the right place at the right time.

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Hey guys, Nice Pictures!!
as for me, I dont own a game camera..sorry!! |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Hey 2Droptine
I thought that buck looked familiar[:o] Here he is... [link]http://www.habitatheroes.com/page2.html[/link] |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
BOWFANATIC, If you Right click his picture, it takes you to that website...
|
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
Hankfan,
You are correct that deer will move during some daylight hours, but he has learned where to move and how to move to avoid hunters. He knows the game. He will and has proved me right. |
RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
2droptine- That' s why you have to stop thinking like all the other hunters. You have to think like a deer and figure out where a deer of that size could hide all year long. Then it' s just a matter of beating the deer at his own game. Of course a little luck always helps!!!! :D

RE: Post Your Biggest Buck Game Cam Photo!!!
hello everyone, annie here. i have`nt been on much for a while. but my husband ( MR.GUNS) is starting to get into posting and reading alot on the forumn now. he came in where i was laying down and said i need to come look at the deer cam pictures. and guys they are all great. we dont have a deer cam but looks as if we need one. these pictures really give you the fever dont they?
hankfan-do you mind saying what part of wva you are from? we are from webster county. bscofield-gorgeous picture. that deer is just beautiful and with all the greenery it sets it off even more. 2droptine, not sure if this will help. but i once read an article where the author claimed that most deer that seem not to be seen very often and seem unkillable often lay right in almost plain view in daylight hours-the idea being inplain site keeps them hidden. as they only need small amounts of cover actually. he claimed many deer are around well populated areas and few people ever notice it. so perhaps he could be hiding where you would least suspect him to be. never take it for granted he is`nt near. just think out of the box. that`s what makes it all the more fun. right? the challenge is what it is all about. man wish we had some pics to add here. thanks for the pics guys there great. |
