Evening hunting over food sources. If it's hot, I'll be sitting over a water hole.

early season and late season you wanna hit the food sources..whatever that may be..
in the north east its clover plots and apples,,or acorns as the season gets in to swing..
i dont know about midwest or way west..but i assume the deer are the same there.
travel routes to and from the food..morning or night set up between the bed area and food..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck.

A good white oak tree is always one of my favorite early spots!

Get out early, at least an hour before light. Hunt the paths they travel to and from food and water. Hang stands off the trails 10 to 15 yards. Some may prefer further. And use your safety harness!!!! ALWAYS!! and correctly, no sort cuts.... Your life depends on it, and you family depends on you.....

I will be sitting in a strip of woods that is about 20 yards wide, overlooking the inside corner of a bean field.

Soybean feilds Draws, coves, any kind of a pinch point that deer will either funnel through or feed in. And Play the wind Scent control in the early part of the season is key because its usally hot and you sweet and then smell. So for me i like to scout it out and have a couple of ladder or hang-on stands early in the season.
