I own a Summit Cobra XLS and love it...You also might want to take a look at the new climbers made by summit that fold flat for ease of packing in and out. I think one is called the Bullet Backpacker and I forget the other name. But go with a summit, you won' t be dissapointed.

The " bullet" is a " viper XLS" that folds down..." broadhead backpacker" is the Cobra XLS that folds! The folding versions are 1lb. for the Viper and 3 lbs. for the Cobra, heavier. But still at 21 lbs for the heaviest...

Ok I' ll be different! The summit is nice but heavy! Not really heavy as is bulky. I have used the cobra and viper. Both very sweet stands! I really like the Loggy Bayou. I don' t remember the style name [>:] but it is a one peace with the seat attatched to the floor. It' s awesome light weight and easy to set up. A very good climber! And you don' t need the climbing aid sold seperetly so don' t waist your money. With some stands, bear hugging a tree can be tough but with this stand it is easy! Good luck!

Lone Wolf Alpha Sit & Climb.......In the past 5 years I have used 3 different climbers....Summit Bushmaster, API Grand Slam Supreme and now the Lone Wolf. The Lone Wolf for me wins hands down.

Lone Wolf Alpha Sit-n-Climb. Best climbing stand I ever owned.

The Summit Goliath sounds like the stand for you. If will hold 275lbs with no problem. It is quiet, stable, safe, and very comfortable. I love mine. I have tried alot of stands and for me Summit gets the nodd, not only for features and quality, but customer service as well.

Thanks for everyone' s input.

Thinking along the lines of a " if a hunting outfitter would choose any Summit climbing stand for a client which would it be?"

I think it would be a toss up btwn the Golaith, and the Cobra XLS. Looking at the Hotshot from Buckshot too as another possibility.
