Ok, we know that established outfitters have references, success rates, trophy pics, etc.

If you were a new outfitter, what would you tell your clients to attract business?

Or

What would you want to hear to attract you, knowing it is a new business?

Let' s be serious cos I always wondered what these people do. We' ll start if the outfitter was providing deer hunts.

I think that I' d give the hopefulls the deer populations/densities, and also the size of recorded Trophies that are taken each year . Maybe my experience that would qualify me as a outfitter should be noted (just cause you own a camp or a license doesn' t make you an Outfitter)
Being new to the business I would definately give some discounts To try and spread the name
These are some things that I would definately do

Try to get a hold of someone, video or writer and offer to let them hunt for free for the advertizement. Just a thought, but all you are out is the hunt and if you do your job believe me it will get out there. If you need some help with comming up with some oportunities just email me and I will see what I can do.

My partner and I are new outfitters this year. We have however been doing this for many friends and family for years!!! When talking to prospective clients, I simply give them the honest scoop!!! We tell them what has been taken on recent hunts, what was passed on last year, density and what resonable expectations are. This honest approach landed us 2 film crews for our bowhunts this year and spots on prostaff for their new call company!!! We also let them know we are bowhunters by nature and that they will get the best we have to offer. ( Ie., we won' t put them in any spot we ourselves wouldn' t hunt). Also have a web page , very simple to do and is it' s own ad!!! Hope this helps . If I can be of any other help just let me know!!!
