When it starts to wear and tear near the nock area or around the cams. If you dont wax it enough like your suppose to then the string will start falling apart.

sometimes they stretch, or fray..depends on how much ya shoot...or dont shoot too...i dont have any pics, but you can take it to your bow shop, and ask em to guess about how much longer it will last..i would imagine if ya ask 10 people, you will get 10 different answers..jus the way it is..has it ever been re-strung? how long ya had it?

your bus cables might just need tightened, this can sometimes solve "string stretch". just take it to your shop

I never wait until I see them fray or seperate. I shoot a more than most people do so I replace them on all my bows every six months.
