You can shoot without sights for sure, you will just not be as accurate.

not true at all....i saw a guy no sights shootin dimes in the air with his old school hand made bow..he was an ol timer..

Some recurves have sights. It's still not uncommon.

Hunters have killed every game animal on the planet with longbow or recurve, and still do, including elephant and Cape buffalo.

Accuracy isn't in the bow, it's in the archer. Those dedicated enough can become deadly accurate at long distances. The best compound bowhunter I know shoots without sights, and does very well. He's a good hunter as well as a good shot.

Short answer, if you want to learn to shoot without sights, it's not that hard. Get good instructions and practice.

I always preferred shooting barebow but after I tried it with my Bowtech General I decided to put the sights back on.With this bow I just don't like the way the cable guard and rest interfered with the sight picture.This wasn't a problem years back when I shot an Oneida SE 600 but on this one no thanks.Wish it wasn't so but...
