It' s all about the money baby! Wouldn' t you be excited about being able to go back home and count all that money! [:@] Personally , I' m getting disgusted with just about every hunting show out there, Buckmasters, Realtree, Mossy Oak, Primos, etc. It' s all BIG BUSINESS. Everyone of them have lost focus on what it is all about. They should take a lesson from the guys that produce Closing the Distance, thats a great show. Also, Archers Choice. But, it probably won' t be long and they will be just as corrupt as the high rollers of video making. I would much rather watch average Joe shoot a 6 point off of private land than to watch Bill kill ANOTHER buck on the Milk River.

By the way antlereather, the guys at Primos are VERY wealthy, don' t be fooled.

i have to agree with belle island, all these shows seem to be about these days are about what product they can push , and most of them seem set up ! i did however see an advertisement during secrects of the ,that you can send in a video of your own personal hunt and cabelas is putting together a video of them all ! i think they should make that into a show instead of a video !

We have been doing surveys all over the place for the past year to see what people are wanting in a video. We keep hearing the same stuff, just like what has been said here, a real hunt not a deer farm hunt. The hunter against the deer, putting in his homework and shoe leather(even though we wear rubber boots) and sometimes winning, but most of the time loosing to the deer. I have put a few guys together and we will have a video out in March 2004 of just that. No paid hunts, some will be on public land others will be on land we have gotten permission to hunt. We are watching a few nice bucks right now, but we want to incorporate why we are hunting in that stand and how we chose that spot. And Heaven forbid if the good Lord is willing we will even have some doe kills because that is part of hunting and good management practices. So keep your eye out for SCC Outdoors video !!!!!

SCC...sounds good...looking forward to it.

I agree that most of the shows aren' t that great anymore. And yes...for many of them, it is all about money. But hey that' s the business they are in, so I don' t really blame them. We have the choice to watch or flip the channel.

There are a few that I still enjoy watching, Primos being one of them. I agree with CG on that one.

SCC Outdoors,
Make sure you let us know when that video is out, sounds like one I would like to see. A few of my friends and I are also going to video-tape hunts this fall, and we have already seen a couple " shooter" bucks by our PA standard.

You can see some of the bucks we are after on our site. We have some trail cameras out and hopefully will get some pics now and a couple with us and them in the picture also this fall.

The way the Primos guys act on tape reminds me of when I was 14 years old. Isn' t it great? I remember the excitement I had when I shot my first deer. I hooped and hollared and its great to have those genuine feelings you had as a kid. Wish I had em more often. Like their series is titled, its the truth about hunting. I like em cause they' re not actors, they' re hunters who video tape. They' re not politically correct but niether is Ted Nugent. They give it to ya the way it is and thats way it otta be.
