Which Mechanical to buy for deer?

Tealboy, are you sure you' re generating 55 ft/ lbs. of
KE? From what I can find, Beman ICS 340' s
weigh right around 9.3-9.4 gr. per inch, similar
to my ACC' s. My finished arrow weight w/ a 100
gr. field point/broadhead is 400 grains. My
arrow speed is 249 fps, which produces 55 ft/lbs.
of KE.
Unless I' m mistaken, which I have been known to
do, at 221 fps, I can' t see your setup generating
that much KE, with that particular arrow.
Just trying to helpful. I lost a nice buck a few years
back shooting a mechanical from a low KE setup...
don' t want to see it happen to someone else.
Good Luck

I have found the muzzy 90 and 100 grain bh' s easy to tune, usually very little needed to be done to get them to fly with my field points. I don' t think mechanicals are your answer.
A finished 29" 340 should weigh in near 420 grains, depending on length of course.
The new Magnus stingers promise great accuracy and 5 shot backs that up, I think I' d give them a shot and am personally thinking of doing so myself.
