You use a peep for long shots with high poundage bows
You use a kisser button for short shots with medium poudage bows.

I use just a peep today. I have used kissers in years past.

With the positive stops of todays bows and fairly good form a kisser really does little for most people other than add weight to the string.

Archery is mostly a mental game and if having a kisser gives you the extra confidence you need then by all means use one.
