Default sight pins too bright

I was wondering if some of the new sights that have the long fiber wraps cause a halo effect when aiming? Some of them seem to bright for precise aiming?

Brightness should not be a concern. You can always put some black electrical tape over part of the fiber if things are too bright for your taste, but at O-dark-thrity in the morning or evening you will be singing the praise of that 3 feet of fiber optic wrapped around your sight.

My impact archery cosmic ring is pretty bright, a little to bright for 3D, but i love it for hunting. I took some velcro and put the fuzzy part on the top and bottom of my sight bracket, then took the other part that attaches that and cut a strip, this way i can just put a piece of velcro over my sight when i need to, and i dont have tape on there taking away all the light when i need it. So i just carry some velcro in my 3D quiver and dont take it when hunitng. you might try this.
