I may go some with my bow but i tell ya, for me theres nothing like runnin and gunnin for turkeys with the scatter gun. Sitting in a blind for hours just dosent do it for me.

One thing about the bullheads, ya gotta hit the head or neck. They will NOT penetrate the body of a turkey.

Yeah the blind sitting can get long and boring, BUT getting a turkey with-in 10 yards while drummin', spittin, and gobblin', makes it worth it!!

Yeah I think I will just stick with the Thunderheads for now. And I'm like you MoHunter I'm not to keen on sitting in a blind for hours on end. I like to be out and about chasing. This year I'll try to spend an equal amount of time doind both. Good luck to everyone this spring. Can't wait to hear some of the glory stories

I think I will be picking up the bow again for turkeys. I haven't since 2005 I think. Any broadhead will do the trick if you hit them perfectly but based on my previous futile attempts I am switching to as large an expandable as I can find - maybe a Tom-o-hawk 3-blade - 3.5" dia. Anyone know of anything bigger? Im not interested in the Guillotine.

I'm fairly new to turkey hunting period. But in one of my hottest deer spots I had a gobbler with an 8 inch beard cruise past me on several occasions. So, yes, I will be trying it with the bow.

I'll be using the guillotines this year IF I can get them to tune and fly at distance. If not it will be 1 3/4" reapers with expanded cups making them 2". I'm gonna be using my 3d setup with scope etc so I'm not afraid of a long shot
