Feathers are lighter, providing more fps and increasing the FOC. I really cannot think of a "real" negative to shooting feathers.

I don't believe in the whole rain/wet problem. There are several products you can use to help repel the rain. However, I have shot feathers that were soaked and they still performed.

Could someone explain what FOC is and why higher FOC is better?

to waldo hunter I use 4" gateway feathers and for tsaxybabe foc is front of center what that is, is how much weight is in front of the center of your arrow to much foc and your arrow will nose dive and you will loose speed, not enough foc and your arrow will fly erratic because the rear of your arrow wants to pass the front.

Thanks Dhoytan! That makes sense then why my arrows fly so much better with 125g field points.
