You are correct. I misread that. Lack of the word "of" threw me off.

Is the arrows the same length as the others, just try a field point, if they group then it needs to be tuned. A drop away to me is a necessity. I know their are those that swear by the biscuit, but I am not one of them.

A little more detail on this idea:

If the bow groups better with field points than broadheads then it would indicate a tuning problem related to spine or maybe centershot. Or, if FP's and BH's do not strike the same point of impact - same issue.

If the bow shoots FP's and broadheads equally well (or equally badly) then that would indicate a clearance issue.

I am willing to bet that fixed broadheads will not strike the same point of impact as FP's. In fact, I would go as far as to bet that BH's will hit to the right of FP's indicating weak spine (assume you're right handed).

Here is a good link on BH tuning:

i am shooting my alphamax at 60 and 30" draw, with 27.5" arrows, and I'm borderline weak at a .400 spine. If i crank the bow up 3 lbs to where it maxes, i have a bad time getting fixed blades to group. I'd be willing to bet you need the 75/95 spine.

Lowering draw weight would improve the situation if you are weak on spine.

Shortening your arrow shaft would help or lowering point weight. Don't make the shafts too short to safely shoot broadheads.

Have you compared point of impact with FP's and with fixed BH's?
