Cougar killed in 9 miles from my house

During second season shotgun some group kicked up this cougar in a tree and they called the dnr to see if they can shoot it. They got the thumbs up so they shot it and the guy is getting a mount for it.

It was shot 9 miles from my house. My uncle works with some guy that was in the group. The guy was on tv for it.

Sorry this picture was off of my phone.

Was this the one killed near Marengo?

I had heard there have been a few sightings this year... And only one killed...

Iowa has had a few cougar kills now in just the last couple seasons! They'v also had a couple of roadkills as well. Very interesting. You guys cankepp 'em all and I hope they stay on YOUR side of the River! I don't want to see what they could do to a deer herd!

No kidding... If we start getting sightings around here, it may look like a scene from a warzone, I personally would lead the hunt...

I can just see it now... "Forget the 'yotes! We got us a kitty on the run!"

Yeah it was over by marengo.
Some kids in school were talking about it and this kid lives in marengo and his grandpa has land right next to where it was shot.

You all may think im talking bs but last year me and my dad saw a very large print that looked like a cats where I hunt. It was in the snow but the problem was we could only find a few of them. It was bigger than an normal coyote track.

I saved it off of another website.

In PA, if that were to happen the PGC would say they don't exist. :eek2: But if you shot it, you would be in deep trouble even though it didn't exist. :s2:

They have been seen over here too. They are protected over here also and the only way they can legally be shot is if they threaten a human.

They killed one less than a mile from my house last week. I've got two sets of tracks located and will be after them this weekend. Hopefully I'll have some pics by sunday!
