That's the way I look at it too. Many, and I mean many around my area claim to have seen mountain lions. Some credible people but until I see one myself I'll always have doubts. Then, everyone can call my sighting BS as well. :)

One that was actually photo'd over in the Poconos was immediately dismissed as a "pet" that got loose.

There has been rumors about Big cats roaming around over here in S IL in the River bottoms close to home.

I did Not pay much attention to them until I saw the/a Cougar. There really was no mistaking what it was. It is the only time I have seen one but I won't forget it.

There are several Bobcats around though. No comparison at all!!:guiness:

Thats the local assumption anyways, which doesnt mean much to me.

hope i never get the chance to kill one!..........but if i do i am not going to sit around calling the DNR to see if its ok....i am shooting before it decides to kill me

They scared it into the a tree and im sure they had there guns ready incase it did decide to come down for a fight.
