Default Lone Wolf Climber?' s

Could anyone here that owns a Lone Wolf climber tell me where you place your feet on the base when climbing? I' ve used Summit' s and API' s before and they both use a strap and bungee cord to hold your feet in place but on the Lone Wolf site I don' t see that.

You put your feet under the side braces and I do that coming down on mine. But I added footstraps because I prefer them when climbing. Its much faster without the straps but I feel more secure and comfortable climbing up with them, but as I said, I don' t use straps coming down.

Thanks for the reply. What is your overall opinion of the Lone Wolf?

Lone Wolf is very simple and quiet. In my woods I vote for it.

The strap seat is not as comfortable as some other brands so I added a cheap seat pad from Walmart and now its very comfortable. The Lone Wolf traction belts grip the tree like no other climbing stand, and other manufacturers have now copied the belt design. Adjusting the belt before climbing is very simple, quiet and easy.

There is NO noise while climbing or sitting in the tree, its very secure. Even with the Alpha sit and climb stand there is nothing to impede your draw as sometime happens with other stands. The front bar(rail) you sit on while climbing can be adjusted easily for a gun rest, folded under you, to rest your arms or for that secure feeling of a front bar if so desired. The stand folds flat and carries very easily and quietly! Simply put its the best piece of hunting equipment I bought in the last few years. My father-in-law is now 65 yrs. old and was so impressed he bought one after trying mine out.

I suggest trying one out if you have the chance, I had that opportunity because a proshop owner' s wife bowhunts with one herself and she showed me how it works. They are pricey and come with no frills, but worth it in my opinion.

VAhuntr.....email me your address and I will send you a copy of the instructions on how to use the Lone Wolf climbing stand if you want.
