Glendel Buck Targets
I did a search and didn' t find where this has been discussed yet, but has anyone tried out the new archery target' s made by Glendel? same folks that make the Block. They have an insert that' s placed in the vital section of a life size deer target. It' s the same technology as the layered foam target in the block and your able to replace the insert just like all the other life size deer targets.
One of the issue' s I can see upfront, is that when you shoot from a sharp angle, (like a treestand) your arrow will cut down through multiple layers and damage the target. Unlike the Block, which you can just rotate on it' s side and your arrow will be stopped via friction by the vertical layers. Kinda look funny sittin this deer on it' s ars just to get the vertical layers.
Anyway, I was thinkin about buyin one, Basspro just got them in. Just not sure if it' s worth the $200 Bucks if I can' t use it for close up high angle shots.
Any opinions???

I bought a block a couple of years ago. It didn' t last very long once I shot broadheads into it. The broadheads cut the layers and out they come. I got about 300 shots and the layers were all cut up and pass thoughs started happening. I won' t pay $200 for any foam layered target.

May work for some , but I shot into a brand new block a couple of years ago with some 400 grn 3-60 A/C/C' s w/ field points, shooting over 290 fps . They all buried up to or past the fletchings @ 20 yrds. I don' t know if they improved them since then , but I decided not to buy one.
