Default P&Y question

Do you score the main as one of the points when you score a deer? Or do you not count the main beam as a point.

you do when counting the points... but you dont measure it as a point.. so it isn't a "G" point.

If you are counting points yes you count it as a point but you do not measure it as a point (tine) You will measure the length of the main beam, your brow tine and any points (tines) until you reach the end of the antler. So if it as a 8 Pt Buck you will have 4 measuremments dealing with points/tines, main beam length, brow tine (G1), First main point (G2), and your 2nd main point (G3). If you look at a P&Y Scoring Card it shows you what to measure as well. If you don't have one or can't find one let me know I can get you one pretty quick.
