Default WHen it rains it pours and i am usasly the one out in it.

Well could not go hunting today a good 30 to 50 miles straight wind rain ice snow. All the bad stuff. Plus i had a doctors app.
Shoulder still hurts even with the third cort. shot today. He told me i need to do some phys. therapy. I was shocked as he has been on this lets do a cort. shot and see how it goes for about 4 months now. Same thing that happen with my knee before surgery on it. Though a differnt doctor. He told me i need to do the therapy before we do any surgery.
I felt like someone kicked me in my balls. My first thought was not will it hurt, will it take long till heal. Nope first thought was whats that going to do to my hunting season
My dad would kill me if i told him that. From what he was saying he either thinks my tendon is toren or just messed up. Either way i am sure i am screwed. What worrys me is i am planning a 2010 ky gun hunt and was going to go to the local gun store to get a price on a remington 700 in 30,06. But i worry if i will even be able to shot the dam thing. Honestly i doubt i have surgery. It hurts but not to the point i want them cutting on me. I have heard horror storys about shoulder surgery. Now if it is a toren rotator cuff or something serious. Maybe but i can do 90% of the things i always have it just hurts. I do not want to end up not being able to pull my bow back. Well thought i would let you all know. Atleast he is doing something now

Hang in there Tim! Just a heads up, but I heard if you get too many "cort" shots they can become ineffective.

Ya i know i hate the dam things. Last one made it worst. I was not going to let him give me one. but i figured he was moving toward finding the issue and i hope it will help with the therapy. Atleast i got some good news i lost 12 pounds. Must have been the vomit session i had for three days with a stomach virus thats going around

I am 477 pounds and 15 feet in a tree i am not sitting in a tree with 30 to 50 mile an hour winds. I would end up on the ground. I could deal with the rain and snow even the cold temps but the wind is where i draw the line. I will be out tomorrow in the single digit temps though.

Tough luck brother. Winds will keep me inside too. As for the shoulder, no time like the present if surgery is the final step either way. The PT is more for insurance than anything, have to prove that it was not helpful to make the shoulder surgery a necessity. But, shoulder surgery is generally very effective, especially with the rotator cuff. So, get on the therapy sooner than later. Cuff surgery rehab is a good 3-4 months until your arm will be back to near normal, so I wouldn't wait until summer, or you won't have to worry about hunting next year.
