I HAVE BEEN READING THIS WEBSITE SINCE LAST NOVEMBER AND WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE LEARNED,AND IDEA' S. I AM AMAZED AT ALL THE NEW TOPICS EVERY DAY. THE WEBSITE I OFTEN GO TO FROM MY HOME STATE IS GREAT,I LOVE IT BUT SOMETIMES IT WILL BE ONE OR TWO DAYS BEFORE SOMEONE WILL COME UP WITH ONE NEW TOPIC,I LOVE TO HUNT AND ENJOY TALKING ABOUT IT ALL YEAR NOT JUST A FEW MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR. MY QUESTION IS 1) HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR BOW NEEDS TO BE TUNED? 2) HOW DO YOU TUNE IT YOURSELF? 3) HOW MUCH WOULD THE LOCAL SPORT STORE CHARGE? THANKS AGAIN! A better question is how do you know when it IS in tune. A bow always need to be in tune. and there are many diff. methods to do it. I would suggest visiting the EastonArchery.com site and downloading there tuning guide. Lots of great info.

I don' t know 20 to 30 bucks maybe, but YOU have to be the one shooting it and they should help you get it in tune for your style.

Read all you can on the tuning topic, and don' t be afraid to try it, you will find it rather frustrating at first, but stay with it. Learn how to do it, if you are like me you may be miles from a bow shop during hunting season to fix a small problem, being self reliant with this bow stuff is a good thing I' ve found.
My local shop charges 35 bucks for what they call a " super tune" , this consist of breaking the bow down to every axel and bolt and lube and clean everything, then reasemble, and shop tune the bow, but even after that I still have to fine tune the bow to my shooting form and style. One thing about tuning....you can' t tune out bad form, *L* it took me about 2 years to figure out that one
