My kindergarten age daughter had the day off for teachers day so I took her hunting. I took her to Gander Mountain and hooked her up with some camo and blaze orange, face net, and binoculars.

We went and concealed a ground blind I pulled out of the barn and set up on some deer trails.

Check her out!

She wants a gun or bow for Christmas!

You can only hope she stays interested. My daughter will be old enough to shoot one next yr. if she wants to. It's her choice. I took my 2yr. old son out for about 1/2hour yesterday morning.

Good stuff! I've been taking my kids since they were 4 on short sits. My son turned 12 yesterday, and he's been killing deer since he was 8. My daughter just turned 9...but she's not ready to kill one yet. Maybe next year. She's not quite as interested as my son, but she's getting there. Make lots of memories...they grow up soooo fast.
