After years of shooting horizontal . Last year I got a single pin that' s vertical........have to say I prefer it !! If it was a multi-pin I' m not sure !

I think if an archer started with the vertical it would be easier and probably more inclined to prefer them but for me give me the old horzontial

Horizontal here as well. I tried the Vertical pins for about 6 months and continued to have difficulty shooting them.

Vertical, you can see more target. I switched from h to v and had no problems. Just personal preference I guess. . .

Wow.....I didn' t know this many people would pick Horizontal.

I' m shooting a trophy ridge Vertical three pin.
The reason why I have the sight is because it came with my first SQ2 and
I never bothered to change it.

What I' ve noticed with the sight is that it gets really dark unless you have very good lighting conditions outside. Some of my friends are shooting open sigths and don' t have the same problem. Even with my little light it' s still hard to see and when I' m hunting and I don' t always keep the light on so I wouldn' t want to be caught in the situation where a deer sneaks up and I don' t have the light on.

I say the vertical sights are great if your shooting the twenty yard pin.....once you move to the 30 yard pin your doomed because your twenty-fourty pins also cover much of the animal and I could see how it' s harder to place the shot.
Another good point someone has made to me is that everything in the bush is verticle (tress) and horizontal pins would act as cross hairs.

After shooting for a while I' m seriously considering switching to a Horizontal more open (bright) sight for better hunting.
