So a little over a year ago my dad passed away. Before he did though he bought me a new bow a couple years ago. The hoyt vectrix. It may seem weird but last season was my first year using it after he had passed. I have two bows the vectrix and a mathews switchback. Everytime i would take the switchback i would have some of the worst hunts ever. Wouldnt see deer, slid down the creek bank into the creek and on one hunt my release broke. But when i took the vectrix i would actually see deer and i shot my best buck to date with it a 10 pt. that scored 151. I think my dad was trying to tell me something what do you all think?
But im so greatful he brought me into the outdoors and gave me the opportunity. He left my brother with our family farm and one of the greatest opportunities in life. I hope all of you out there cherish every second you have with your loved ones, because you never know when it will end.
At least i know hes still with me and i just keep thinking to myself, hes the one that got away.

That's pretty cool man. Ihate to hear about your dad. If he was anything like mine is then I'd say its a hard pill to swallow. I worry about my dad so much anymore as hes pushing 60 and his health is getting pretty bad. I have to run the farm now and without him i would be nothing. Hes taught me everything I know, even when I didnt want to learn. I just cant imagine how you feel but he IS still with you, for sure! I was raised on God and firmly believe in miracles and that said, if I were you that bow would go with me till the endof my time. Good luck with everything man.
