Question Arrow Selection / Spine Question

Need some input on spine and brand if applicable. I'm pulling 70# 27" and according to the chart's I've seen the spine should be at least ~340? I've seen threads here discussing that you can "over/under spine". The websites and info out there is overwhelming and, at times, contradictory between manufacturers. Any suggestions?

Go to your local pro shop and they should get you setup with what you need. With that being said I would think a 340 arrow is about right. I would rather be a little over spined than under spined.

It plays in also as to WHAT bow you shoot, and HOW aggressive is it. If you have a mildly aggressive bow, vs. having a super aggressive speed bow, single cam vs. binary cam, etc. You should be just fine in a .340 spine with a 28" arrow and a 125gr head, may be able to get away with a 26" arrow in a .400 spine with a 100gr head, all depends on your bow, the arrow length you want and the head weight you want to shoot.

As was said though...."better to be OVERSPINED than underspined."
