The Nikon 550 is the way to go, its fairly cheap and works extremely well. I have a Leupold RXII and i can honestly say the Nikon is more effective(friends and dad have the nikon). And you really only need the angle stuff like the archers choice/Leupold with TBR if you hunting steep country and taking long shots. Dont be fooled into thinking you need that stuff for hunting flat to rolling ground with relatively close shots.
