Ive seen enough to never use the head.

but like another poster said........thats why they make different brands and styles. keeps life interesting!
Oh ok! I looked on their website to find info on the 40KE. I didnt realize he was talking about all of the heads. I thought that they may have came up with some new marketing campaign with this one or something like that. My bad

What marketing ploy turns you off?? Or, are you just being condenscending? If there is some kind of funny advertising going on... im not seeing it very well

I do agree about higher KE with the 2 bladers... Ive seen/heard of too many non pass thrus. I am going with them this year b/c i will have plenty of KE. I shot the 3's last year and they were great!

Are you planning on changing heads GMMAT?

Derek
The idiocy that leads people to believe they can shoot this new head with 40FP/KE. It's pathetic.

No. I no longer will shoot this head (for unrelated reasons).

one of the greatest pieces of advice i ever recieved. "most fishing lures arent made to catch fish. they are made to catch the fisherman."
marketing is the key. while i may not agree with their style and tactics. im not gonna diss anyone for shooting another style. there has to be more than one style of BH. otherwise we could all shoot the same bow with the same arrows and the same BH and be good with it.

Mo...I was describing the marketing ploy....NOT the people being fooled by it. If you've never shot the head (or one remotely like it), you're likely to believe them (why wouldn't you?).

No disrespect to the end user. I blame the Rage Co.

My friend shot a buck last year in the shoulder blade, and the rage 2 blade broke.. Not just the blades, but the actual broadhead. I was using them then, but never shot a deer w/them. I switched to the 100g Montecs after that. Any sharp head put in the right spot will put a deer down fast.

Reason one for not shooting the head: Alum. ferrule.
Reason two for not shooing the head: America's top Bowhunter says it's like throwing an axe through and animal.--They should throw and an axe through Chuck's agent for letting him repeat that line.

I don't have experience with the 40KE, but if it's designed after it's older brother, it could use some steel.
