they get over 80" spread. 60+ fairly common 70-80"s pretty rare.
big bull can weigh 1500-1800 pounds
18 month old probably 800-1000 and will give up 325# of meat.
many areas there is spike/fork or 50" or wider rule for it to be legal

That is what I thought, that they were much larger than here. They are still a large animale here none the less. Here we have a singal law on shooting bulls. It is really pretty simple to go by. All you need is a bull with a 6 inch spike or better for it to be a legal moose. One guy shot a bull that had only a 4 inch spike one year. They came and took it and then later on decided he really couldn't measure them so they gave it back to him.. That was quite a joke around here that year! But it did served as a warning to other hunters to be more carefull with antler size just the same. Anyways thanks for the info..

I only will be getting an occasional weekend this year to come home to hunt because of school - though I am hoping to find a friendly farmer or landowner in the Kenosha/Racine WI area that may let me hunt a bit as well.

Well my planes where to hunt the state park by where we just moved. But where beginning to hate the place so we might be moving sometime between now a Aug. Not sure yet. We live in a home assc. And yesterday a guy was at the assoc pool asking people to go by him cold medicine. for I am sure was a plan to cook some meth. I being the good old boy I am, I ratted him out to the people in charge. Well after a big thing about them closing the pool and a near riot. The guy decides to threaten me. I have never been so pissed off. Had it not been for my dad and my sister’s step daughters being in my truck at the time, I would have beaten the boy to death.
So god only knows where I will be hunting this fall. Heck if the crap keeps up it might be in the state priso
What state are you inbigtim ?
