im new to this forum and is a great archery fan.. I have an outdated compound bow and want to replace it. I'm struck in making a choice between compound bows and crossbows any suggestion which one is good??

Your talking about 2 completely different things.
Most people on here just shoot bows. In a lot of states you can only use a crossbow if you are disabled, or have a condition that prevents you from drawing a bow. Which you would have to get a form filled out by your doctor.
As for me, I have never used a crossbow. I like the challenge of using a bow way too much. Crossbows seem too much like shooting a gun. Not tosay I wouldn't ever use one, I would just have to be unable to shoot a bow before I did.
