Smith archery Quickie 125 broadheads.
I just posted this on Eders also. I recieved my 2003 Bowhunter mag. Equipment Guide yesterday and was checking out the new products. On page 79 I saw the Smith Archery Quickie 125 broadhead. Anyone else see it. If not, you can see it at their website at www.pdgraphics.biz/ I asked 5 shot' s opinion on it, so hopefully he will answer here or on Eders. It is a three stage opening mechanical head. Myinitial opinion is that it just looks like alot could go wrong, but I could be wrong. Just wanted to see what others thought about it. I am anxious for 5shots opinion, the broadhead Guru Maximus.

Yeah the Speed Brakes are a nice little feature.
Nothing like a little induced drag to add to the equation.
The wire triggering device looks like something from fishing lures of the 30' s 40' s.
Very ineffective and snagged all kinds of crap.
These broadheads ought to react likewise.

The Sonora and Triska look a little better built than this one. I don' t remember who it was that said this but you were right, sometimes you can just look at something and have a gut feeling it' s gonna suck.
The delayed opening isn' t concerning me but the notches in the already skinny blades are sure to break and the " fish hooks" can' t be good for penetration. But I' ll reserve judgement until I get first hand reports.
