Wish me some luck..
Wish me some luck or should I say a whole lot of luck..I am going to try my very first turkey hunt in the morning..I really didn't thinkI would want to try it but have decided to after seeing my nephew's turkey. I will be using my Bowtech Constitution and camo coveralls. No blind for me as I like the challenge of the hunt. I have practiced a little around here with a box caller and had some pretty decent toms come in to it. The place I practiced on them is no hunting for turkeys yet as they are still stocking them in here. So I am off to a new area to hunt them in and also the first hunting trip with my Bowtech! I can't wait to try it out..

RE: Wish me some luck..
Thanks for all the good luck wishes hopefully next time I am out. Turkey hunting here ends at noon, and it was a great day to be out there.
Well no luck today but will try and get back out by Saturday and give them another try. It was nice just getting out there though. I did manage to have a brake line start leaking so i stopped and bought a quart of fluid and used it all on the way home. It was around 75 miles from here and I did get to see a couple of hens but the tom just never showed itself. Maybe next time..

no blind.. now thats a man! Rambo style baby!
I told the wife I was taking the jeep out today and went and talked with a farmer this morning and tho it was getting late I did see 2 toms and 2 hens. I was getting ready to draw on a big tom when a truck came driving along.. That ruined that chance soI went father back to the back side of the field and had 2 toms comeing in but the must have saw me and took running and clucking away as they went. The farmer did give me 3 fields to hunt on tho and 2 of them have just been plowed under to get ready for planting. I was hunting near 1 of them that had corn stalks plowed under and the turkeys had been going into that pretty darn good.
