Default 2007 or 2008 Bowtech Guardian?

Well I have been chatting with Dan (MeanV2) about the 07 and 08 bowtech guardians. I know which one I am going to buy thanks to Dan, but I am just curious as to what the rest of you guys think of this bow, whether you own one, shot one, or owned one before and got rid of it. I am just curious what others think.

Thanks,
-Joe

My cousin has an 07 and its a very nice bow! But if it were me chosing i would go for the 08. The invelvet and the black cams would be worth it to me.

I have an 07..what a bow. Killed all of my critters with it this year. Very accurate, quiet, and fast

The Guardian is a Great Bow. The 07 & 08 differences are noted, but they both shoot fantastic.

I owned a 07 and it was just Flat out Fun to shoot. I bought an 09 Captain it very close to the Guardian spec wise, and So far I am Impressed!!

Joe you will enjoy either one and when you get that bad boy put a MeanV String Suppressor on it. It's one of the Best bang for your $$ in Bow accessories.

Enjoy!!

And the noted differences would be? Besides the cam color change and invelvet camo on the bow are there any differences between the two?

Joe, That is the changes. Nothing drastic or anything that really changes the way the bow shoots. The Invelvet is nice, but I'd probably go where I could get the best value.

What exactly is the difference between the Invevlet stuff and the camo on the bowtech bows without it?

It's a clear coating with a rubbery feel. It feels warmer to the touch, and I'm sure helps soak up some vibration and noise.

I had someone come to me from my church with the same question... I advised him to go with the '08 because of the black cams (won't catch the sun's reflection) and the Invelvet... for the price difference of the two at the time he was looking (I think $50 or so...) I told him to go with the '08. Even if the cams never reflected light (though I've seen it hunting with a buddy and hence one of the changes I requested in late '07), I prefer the black cams anyway.
