A prayer request for Levi .... ***UPDATED***
#101
May we discover through pain and torment,
the strength to live with grace and humor.
May we discover through doubt and anguish,
the strength to live with dignity and holiness.
May we discover through suffering and fear,
the strength to move toward healing.
May it come to pass that we be restored to health and to vigor.
May Life grant us wellness of body, spirit, and mind
Your all with us Levi...

Still praying for the little guy here in Ohio, and hoping God's Will will be for this young man to make a complete recovery and have the opportunity to grow into a very strong and healthy young man after all he has been through.

I think that I can finally say that there is some improvement in Levi's condition. The pain is not as frequent and is a little more tollerable. No new cells yet, that's to be expected. Maybe we will will see some growth by the end of the week. When his ANC comes up he will begin to heal faster. He recieved a few transfusions, again that is too be expected. And he even ate Easter dinner! They are still giving him TPN because he doesn't eat very much. We try to encourage him to eat and drink, but most of the time we don't get very far. Bribing works pretty good though! We were all together at the hospital yesterday for Easter, it was nice, and that was probably the best day we have had so far.

Glad to hear the family was able to have Easter dinner together. I am sure that was good for all of their spirits. Please keep the updates coming. I think of and pray for this boy often.

Alright, I think that they have come up with a better solution to Levi's pain problem. In addition to a steady dose of morphine he now has a pump so that he can push a extra dose in if he feels like he might need it. It seems to be working so far. Levi has also been eating a little more. The doctor has shortend his time on the TPN, and if Levi eats more they will be able to gethim off of it entirely.
It has been about twelve days since the transplant, sometimes new cells do not grow for twenty days! I sure hope that is not the case with us!!!! We have already been in the hospital for 20 days not to mention the 11 days we already spent there pre- transplant. Levi often says he misses home. Please pray that the rest of the hospital stay will go by quickly.
