Anybody ever bear hunt with Double Droptine Outdoor Adventures by Tofte(SP) Minnesota. Say one of his ads and was wondering if anybody knew anything about this outfit?

Good bear country up there, I know people who hunt in Silver bay, which is a south of there.

I know nothing about the outfitter, though.

Just curious why you were interested in Bear Hunting in MN. There is No Bear hunting better than in Canada unless that is not an option for you.

Well i found this outfitt on craigs list. its $650 for 4 days all inclusive plus non-resident license $202. I am on a budget otherwise i would be all for canada. Just sounds a little fishy thats why i am asking if anyone has hunted with him?

It has a review, that posts a 1 out of 5 score, "Out of 13 hunter, 1 bear taken, only 4 hunters saw bears!!!!"

It's only one data point, and it doesn't give their side of the story, but I'd ask them for references.

Anybody Know of any other bear hunting outfitters in Minnesota that are reasonably priced?

Tom Lindley out of Northhome and Frank Nelson out of Big Falls. I have no phone numbers, I just know of them and have talked with them while bear hunting. There decent bear guides and not crooks like 70% of the other bear guides up where I bear hunt. I don't use a guide but they hunt In the same area as I do so I've Interacted with them frequently and know of there success and how they treat people. There success rates are pretty good and I'm guessing there fee's aren't to terribly costy either.
