So far, I have killed 12 coyotes with a bow. But, I have missed more than that. Too many stories to tell them all.
Being from AZ, the easy way to kill ' em is to sit water during the summer. It' s very entertaining to do this, because you see all kinds of things. Like the time, I watched a coyote chase a roadrunner, just like the cartoon.
I had a ' yote come into water straight in front of me. He was facing me as he drank. When I released, the coyote dropped, and i thought to duck the arrow but, he never moved again. When I went to him, I could see the arrow had entered 1 inch above his right eye and exited thru the back of the neck. Well, there was one i didn' t have to track!

I shot 2 coyotes on one hunt. I had left my stand after not seeing any deer on a morning hunt. As I was walking away from my stand I saw some movement in the distance of about 100 yards. I ducked behind the nearest tree and realized there was 5 or 6 coyotes coming to me.I just sat still and they just came straight to me. The first one stopped 20 yards from me and I shot and hit it. As it laid on the ground a second one came to the same spot to see what was going on and stopped in the same spot. I nocked another arrow shot and hit that one also.

I have shot 2 coyotes with my bow. One was bein very sneaky, i think it was sneakin up on a fawn. I shot him right through the front shoulder. He weighed in at 25 pounds. The other was just walkin like he didnt have a care in the world. I shot him a lil high on the front shoulder. He was a lil smaller weighin in at 19 pounds. Ive shot 7 coyotes total. 2 with a bow and the other 5 with my .243. i called in 2 of those 5. another 1 was shot while hunting deer. and the other 2 were while feeding cows.
