Default antlers not dropped

Just got home frome taking a nice tom, but what I found most interesting was I saw a decent buck still carrying both antlers from last year. I got a good look at him feeding at about 100 yards through binos and there was no question that he had polished antlers. I' m guessing he was a 2 1/2 year old during the last season. I also had an upclose look at a buck that was just starting to grow this years antlers. Friday night I saw another buck that appeared to have polished antlers but could not be sure due to the distance and he was on the move. I have never seen polished antlers still on a buck this time of year. Just curious if anyone else has been seeing anything similar.

On the 15th of March we saw a 50" + bull moose with antlers still on, then last sunday we saw a younger bull caribou with antlers still. I don' t think it is common to have antlers this late, especially on mature animals.

This late in the year I' d bet it' s either a doe with antlers or a buck with no testicles.

I was walking a trail in one of my hunting areas today and I jumped up 2 deer one i saw as it ran away from me at 25 yards couldnt tell if it was a doe or a buck that had shed his horns, the other was a 120 class 6 point with polished hard antlers, no velvet. They were bedded together. Ive never seen one with antlers from last season this late in the year.???? If it was a antlered doe it had one heck of a good size body for a doe and a very symetrical rack.
