Default My 50 yard pin ????

Hey all i just put a 50 yard pin on my bow, before all i went to was 40 yards. At forty i can hold a consistent group about the size of a tennis ball. What kind of accuracy should i be seeing at 50 cause i cant seem to pull tight groups well. Thanks all.

Tennis ball groups at 40 yards is great.

It all depends on you. But as long as you do everything the same as any other distance you should probably get a bit larger groups. It all takes practice and you'll shrink your groups even at shorter distances after shooting longer range.

You should groups about the size of tennis balls at 50 yards as well. Set the goal and don't settle for larger. It'll tighten your 40 yard groups as well.

I go for one inch groups for every ten yards out. At fifty yards, my goal is five inches. I was given that advice on here earlier this year and its worked out great.
Do make sure your bow is in tune tho, it could be that after forty the arrow is flying funny, but with tennis balls at forty, i dunno.

At some point it becomes psychological. pin size vs target size and you tense up. if you can get past this, you'll be all set.
