I haven't been here in a few weeks so please excuse me if someone has already posted something similar to this. The Wildlife Dept. of NC is proposing some changes for 2009 that should interest you. Proposal H5 says the dept. is suggesting to SHORTEN our bow season by 1 week in order to increase the ML season by 1 week. H3 is proposing the removal of the "DAILY" bag limit on deer. H26 is proposing to allow bow hunting on Sunday for private land and H27 is proposing to allow bow hunting on Sunday for game lands. I urge you to go to www.ncwildlife.org and look on the right side of the home page. You will see a block to go to the area for your votes and commentson any/all of the hunting,fishing and trapping regulation proposals. I gave them my .02 worth and suggested they take a week from gun season in order to add a week to ML season since most of the MLs today have ranges of 200+ yrds. I also voted against the removal of the "daily" bag limit on deer but I voted in favor of the bow hunting on Sunday proposals. It only takes a couple of minutes to do this so we should all voice our opinions whatever they may be. The hearings are too far for me to drive to so I gave my opinions online. Thanks.
