-3? Should be a while before he needs that.
He swings a -9 now, which is a smaller drop than what most use at his age.

He/we appreciate it guys.
Took him tonight to do some indoor shooting on some 3-d,after we got him sighted in for 10-15-20.He stepped up to a panther at 15 and smoked him right in the 10 ring, drockw was standing beside us and watching as well.He then proceeded to shoot a 20 yard cinnamon bear, shot a little left on first shot.Second shot was a 10.
He made it all the way out to a 35 yard? white rinehart goat(20 yard pin)first arrow was tested for toughness but the second arrow found it's mark.
I then made him stay within his range,to say some were surprised would be an understatement.Especially the kid that jumped in on his target on the 20 yard spot range and tried to hit the dot he was shooting at,He let him know,in NO uncertain term,he better not hit his arrow.
That got a chuckle out of a couple of people.
drockw,that was zack.[8D]
He probably shot 100 arrows tonight at 32#.He was tired but I figured if he could do that,2 more pounds wouldn't hurt anything.I cranked it up and let him draw it,he got it back but he will need to be fresh to shoot it.
Looks like I am going to be buying a new bow, probably in August since that is when his birthday is.
I got some great satisfaction that there were 13 year old kids in there that couldn't hang.[8D]
Sorry to brag but I had more fun with him than I did with my own bow,I bet I didn't get 15 shots off.

New bow,new strings. It takes time, don't get frustrated just yet.
that is 1 thing I hated about spots,a couple bad shots can snowball into a horrible night. With 3-d,I was always able to shake off a bad shot and the ribbing that went along with it and still have fun.
