I once had a mate who was shooting rats on his farm with a .410
He went over to kick a rat he'd shot under the hedge, but it bit through his shoe and latched onto his toes!!!
He has a hell of a scar on 3 toes and had to have injections in his arse for a month so he didn't get Weil's disease. Luckily, there is no rabies here in the UK.

charged by 3 different black bear, 1 boar, which was probably my fault for chasing him first ...... 2 sows they are pretty protective of their cubs this time of year... all while shed hunting in the spring time... my trusty 44mag kept em from getting to close as I shot over each of them...to run them off ... usually tho, while shed hunting I bump into a bear and it's gone as soon as they realize I am around..

Got attacked by bees, that were in the tree I climbed up with my climbing treestand. Had to bail out, without a parachute, left the stand in the tree and jumped. It wasn't pretty.

I was attacked by mosquitoes in the turkey woods today!!
Like others have experienced, I’ve been chased down by a skunk! Funny how you see him and then your like “what the &%$#” as he starts after you.

I was out hunting in a popular deer spot and wondered why the deer weren't in the area any more. There was sign everywhere and I had seen them there previously. I was hearing noises behind me and would stop to look. There was nothing in sight whenever I looked back. Until, I had had enough and backtracked where I had just walked. When I reached a large ponderosa, a cougar emerged from behind the tree and began to circle me. It was making groaning noises leading up to a full blown screem. The cougar circled me getting even closer. At this point I was feeling that it was within pouncing range. Thank god I was hunting with my rifle. I don't like to take game other that what I am hunting for, but at this point, it was time. I did have a cougar tag that I had bought to get one in the winter. Needless to say. The cougar I took that year, didn't have the winter coat, but it still looks good on my wall.

Attacked by a ram when I was like ten years old. Scared the crap out of me. Dad took it by the horns and swung him around a couple of times and almost took the gold medal for the ram toss!

I was attacked by a wounded buck, it looked dead ears down and all, I poked it with the gun barrel and it spun around got his antlers around my shin. I'm just glad his brow tines stopped at my knee. I was holding the gun down past my gonads trying to save them if he managed to get its head up. The worst part is I had to walk off without killing it.
