Whats your goal for next season?
#11

To use the knowledge that I gained this year on the new property and put down a 3.5 year old buck with a lot less time in the stand. By next hunting season, I will be a dad.
I also plan on getting back into food plots alot more like I was two years ago.

Have alot. I find if I set out specific goals I want to accomplish it helps me stay focused and achieve what I want throughout the year. Worked last year, I'll try it again.
1. KILL A TURKEY WITH MY BOW. If I do this, I am set....it is starting to get under my skin as you can see.
2. Make the bowhunting trip to AK
3. kill atleast one Sitka Blacktail on trip.
4. Killatleast one out of state gobblerthis spring.
5. Kill a bigger buck than this years with my bow.
6. If Money/time left over...make an Arizona late season rut trip for Coues/Mulies in December or January.

Mounters andyearlingordoe fawnsonly. Older deer don't taste good to me. If I'm gonna drag it through the woods then go through all the trouble of skinning quartering and deboning, I'm gonna do it with tasty deer only.

My main goal for the 09 season is to watch my son take part in his first whitetail season. He's finally old enough to chase whitetails withol' dad. Nothing would make my season better than seeing him take his first deer.

To match or have more fun than I did this year. I honestly had a blast.
Kill a deer with my bow that I would want to mount.
I've taken 6 deer this year, I can't ask for any more than that. With one more hunt to go.
I've had more fun this year than ever and I've killed more than I ever have.
Mission accomplished.

-Continue the food plot work on our 90 acres, establishing at least one more additional plot with late season forage.
-Hunt a bit smarter, move to areas I've left out of the picture these past years.
-Attempt to tackle our 1200 acres at our cabin. I haven't hunted it yet in archery season, and with all of the pressure from the members hunting there, it's going to take a lot. I will need to stay mobile.
-Gain permission for one additional chunk of land behind my new home (I feel this spot may be a sleeper spot with all of the apple trees on my property).
-Take at least two doe (I passed way too many this year, and I feel the population here is getting a bit too unbalanced)
-Get this stupid monkey off my back, and put my second archery buck down[:@]
-Have fun
