I really only have three goals for next season....
1. To get my stand back into the thicker brush that the bigger bucks cruised this past season and get my shooting lanes cut early. (This shouldn't be hard as I am hoping to sneak out around lunch tomorrow and do this)
2. Help my fiance to get her first deer. She came close this year and had a nice 6 point pass by at just over 20 yards but didn't feel comfortable taking a shot because it wasn't within the 20 yard limit she gave herself. She tried to grunt at him after he passed by to bring him back in range but she was so excited that she couldn't get the grunt call to work.
3. The easiest one of all, enjoy every moment spent in the woods and thank the good Lord for the experience!

To have fun, be safe and stay on stand longer. I'm getting better at staying longer and that's the reason I got my buck this year. I killed him at noon. Usually I'd have left by then!

My goal is to spend more time preparing and hunting overall. As far as success, im happy with this years, and honestly, I would be satisfied if i had the same success as i did this year. I was 3for3 with 1 buck and 2 does. I shot 3 times, and killed 3 times. I felt my season was VERY fortunate this yearconsidering my little time in the woods (school)

well, first and foremopst have a safe and fun season, second i'd like to kill a 3 1/2 + yr old buck with the bow, and pass on the large 2 1/2 yr olds ( i couldn't resist this year, i killed a 2 1/2yr old 10 pt). I would like to put at least one big eastern on the ground this spring, and last i would just like to get the experience i need to become a better hunter....

My first and biggest goal is to get close to an elk. I would love toget a bull but a cow would be great.
Then to get a doe or buck. And then see a bear and coug.
Take lots of good pics and have fun with my friends.
