My Airborne 82nd is 61#, 28" draw shooting a 366 grain (hunting arrow for that bow)arrow at 305 fps.

I set my HHA on 20 yards and left it. Following are the results from the average of 3 shots. Simple anyone can try this with their own bow. I used No KY windage at all. I aimed dead center of the 2" bull on my target every shot.

3 shots from 30 yards were an average of 4.75" low

3 shots from 40 yards were an average of 14" low.

None of the shots varied over an inch.

I made no allowance for 10mph head wind[8D]

I'll be changing somewhat. Going down to a 60 lb. bow because of continuing nerve problems in my shoulder. Couple with that I need some new arrows and it looks like FNJ's most likely using a 50 grain brass insert to increase my FOC. Still wish they made the A/C Superslims[].

Your arrows sure die quickly past 30 yds?? I don't even think my Guardian has that much arrow drop at 40 yds. I have an inch of draw on you. I wonder what my arrows weigh?? Maybe yours are much lighter than what I am are using...no scale on this end.

5 grains per pound at 65 lbs = 325 grains. I plan on shooting 324 grains.

I've not seen an arrow flying fast enough to only have 4", or less, drop from 20-40 yards. Last year when I was shooting 320 FPS I had 3" from 20-30......And you're saying you have less than that from 10 yards farther?

I shoot an HHA single pin as well. In a hunting situation, I leave my pin set on 27 yards. I'm 1 1/2"low at 30 and 1 1/2" high at 20. I simply cannot see how anyone could have less than 4" of drop from 20-40 yards. What I've found is that the more experienced archers will, subconciously, account for the yardage and hold a little higher without really realizing it. You would have to be shooting in excess of well over 400 fps for those kinds of ballistics. And, shooting a really light arrow to get those speeds.....And as we know, a light arrow loses it's velocity much quicker than a heavier arrow.

Don, I have a Stryker that shoots over 400fps and I'll guarantee you it drops more than 4.5" from 20 to 40 yards[8D]

and I can shoot it off a bench rest

Well, I am putting my 20yd single pin HHA on the of the 4 1/2" line , which is the kill zone, and the arrows are staying right around the simulated black heart area(kill zone). I just went and stepped 40 yds to confirm. Here is my arrow. 61# 29" draw. Maybe getting rid of the factory string stop and installing the P.O.S. brand string stopper is what helps my bow shoot faster

Here's my shooting stats.
