The Ex took it from about 80 yards away. The haze in the photo was from the tree branch of the tree she was hiding behind that she didn't see in front of the lens from not being familiar with my camera.
This version was a cover photo for AK Bowhunter magazine... I think I like Will's better for some reason though.

Not the greatest pic, but it's one of my favorites because the kids were so interested and got to be in it with me, my niece and 2 nephews, all of which thought it was really cool checking out the intestines and heart and other parts of the entrails after I'd gutted her. The doe was a herd matriarch I had an unsettled grudge with. This was 3 yrs. to the day from the other big old doe I killed towards the end of December. This one was 5.5yrs old, the most recent looks to be either 6.5 or 7.5yrs old.
