Never did connect. As the billy that came up within a yard started to walk off and got about 20 yds. out, I went for it figuring they'd freeze to look back long enough to get a shot but they never did. In hindsight I should have just stayed put until they moved out of sight then come to full draw and stood up from behind the ridge. I had been there a long time and was literally frozen in that position though. What doesn't come across in the photo is that it was 25 degrees and gusting over 20 mph. Like they say, hindsight is 20/20 vision! Wish I had my longbow instead of the compound!
